gpu memory temp 80celsius when watching youtube

is it normal that my gpu memory temp is 80celsius when watching youtube

gpu ventus x2 rtx 4060 ti and the gpu has idle fan mode.

Depends. Are your fans spinning at all?

Most card have 0 RPM mode when GPU is under 50C so at light loads it may not turn on the fans even though VRAM warms up a bit.

yea 0rpm mode fans start spinning when gpu hits 60celcius

if its still 80c when the fans are spinning, you might need to re-paste or re-pad. have your temps always been like this?

when i turn fans on temp goes ok the card is 3weeks old

Ah, it’s probably fine then. Memory is usually safe until like 110c, sometimes higher, and it isn’t the main priority for cooling anyways so it should realistically be fine
