Hi,
I have a problem with game crashes and blue screens. It started when i downloaded nvidia 572.60 drivers (previously used 572.70 and wanted to switch because of better dlss 4 compatibility). When i installed them i started having very frequent BSOD's. I did a fresh install of windows because DDU would crash the system and I started having bluscreens while not doing anything.

Now, after the fresh install i downloaded older gpu drivers: 566.36 (rtx 2070 super), but im still having problems.

My bluescreen errors:
- kernel auto boost lock acquisition with raised irql
- page fault in nonpaged area
- apc index mismatch

Most of them happen while attempting to launch an app. If an app loads there's a good chance it will run. That's how i was able to run 3d mark's Steel Nomad benchmark and got a perfectly fine score. So i dont really think its a gpu hardware issue. Just before downloading the drivers that caused everything i was able to run every game without any crashes and bluscreen.

I attached my dump files below. I really dont have an idea what could fix the system so any help would be much appreciated!

JayZtwocents made a video on something similar. When installing new drivers, it happens that Nvidia pushes something like a "firmware" update to your GPU. In rare cases it may cause problems and reverting to older driver won't un-update that "firmware". I wonder if it what is happening to you.

As for tourbleshooting your issue, I think your full system specs (and windows version) would be very helpful.

Good luck !

If i watched the correct video you're talking about I dont think its the same issue. I didnt install the drivers mentioned to be faulty in the video and my card did not blackscreen once, only bluescreens, then again maybe you're talking about a diffrent video.

The blue screen error codes you are getting are system memory related, I'd run memtest86 or Windows Memory Diagnostic. See if either find any errors with your system memory.

It looks like memory from the dump files. Memory doesn't have to mean RAM, but it's usually the main suspect. Windows puts low priority data from RAM into the page file and loads it back in when needed so storage can look like memory (And memory can look like storage). The memory controller is in the CPU and if this fails it will just look like memory.

When it's storage about half of the dumps will usually blame storage or storage drivers, which I don't see here, so it's likely not storage.

If anything is overclocked or undervolted, remove it. The XMP speed you have on the RAM is fine. The max officially supported speed with four sticks on Zen 2 is 2933MT/s, but 3000 is so close to that I think it should be fine. Have you always had four sticks? I noticed that you have two different kits so if it started crashing within a month of adding the second kit, a compatibility issue would be my main suspect.

To test the RAM, use the machine normally with one stick at a time. If just one of the sticks cause crashes, faulty stick. If it crashes with either stick it's probably the CPU. Memory testers miss faulty RAM fairly often with DDR4 and newer so I don't trust them. Because you have four sticks, you can also just test with one kit at a time instead of one stick at a time.
