Hi, seems to be an issue with Leagues engine with anything above 360ish fps! Have contacted their support and got a swift reply. Thank you for your assistance.

Hi all, just got my new Sony M10S and I've been experiencing some trouble with screen tearing in League of Legends! It hits 480 fps stable, but seems like the screen is ''tearing''!

I am using the included display port cable & have one other monitor hooked up as a secondary at 60hz.

Solutions I've tried so far:

-vsync turned on in game (locked fps to 480 but had screen tearing)

-vsync turned off (fps went to 1400 with extreme screen tearing)

-vsync turned off in game, turned on forced vsync in nvidia control panel (screen tearing)

-vsync in control panel + gsync (screen tearing)

-vsync in control panel at ranges from 360-475 + gsync (screen tearing)

-vsync in control panel at ranges from 360-475 & no gsync (screen tearing)

I have tried multiple solutions but the only one that seems to be working is capping in game fps to 240 & not doing anything else.

Running a 4090 & Ryzen 9 7950x!

Any help is appreaciated.

Look what I found from Sony :

The Sony INZONE M10S is remarkable for PC gaming. With a high 480Hz refresh rate, it's a fantastic choice for most PC gamers, and it supports any VRR format to reduce screen tearing.

I think you got a good reason for contacting Sony support  and ask for a solution.

Is only LoL doing the tearing thing ? If you don't have any issue with other games, it may be a problem with the game engine itself. It's a bummer but it happens.

In my opinion, 240Hz is already pretty fast but I understand that you paid for the full 480Hz.

You said you tried g-sync and v-sync. Do the monitor support Freesync too ? It's worth trying.

Also, it may be a good idea to check the monitor configuration (using the monitor's menu) to see if you need to enable something before using 480Hz mode. On some monitors, the higher refresh rate is considered an overdrive and must be manually enabled.

Hope that helps !

The 480hz is enabled on the monitor, it has freesync and I've tried it, but still the same issue.

Been trouble shooting all day but can't seem to find a solution.

Did you try another game ? There are plenty of rts you can try and see if the screen is tearing for them too. It may help diagnose your issue.

Have a nice day !

Welcome to the forums!
I agree with Sawa, that's enough troubleshooting to merit contacting support

What would I even ask in this situation? If you have any helpful tips would be great! Thank you for the welcome
