I've had a TN panel 1440p Dell monitor for the past 10 years and been looking to upgrade to a new display. I'm eyeing a 27in OLED monitor which I feel would be an excellent upgrade to make, but I'm hesitant to follow through due to the fact I work from home and when using it for work, i'd have a lot of static content on my screen during office hours, which would degrade the monitor much quicker than I intend. Is there an ergonomic way of having the new monitor be centred when at my desk for leisure, but being able to move it and centre my old monitor during work hours?

I'll have at max 100cm width (140cm, but 40cm of that would have my rig resting on it) to 70 (or) 80cm of depth for display real-estate on a standing desk. Can't hang anything over the sides as one meets the wall and the other would impede the space of another persons desk.

If you could lend me your thoughts or maybe even product links it be greatly appreciated.

Could you live with a 5ish year life expectancy for the monitor? If so... just set your system to dark mode, auto hide the windows bar accept that some wear and tear is inevitable and that in 5 years you could get a better display for probably half the price and use that as your primary monitor and demote the current to secondary later.
Also if you want to do tweaks to put your mind at easy... run a small fan behind the unit. It doesn't even need to move much air... this'll cut the heat the panel accumulates. Heat accelerates wear and tear on displays.

For what it's worth I just got a 48" LG B4 for $500 that I'm using as a monitor. I'm going to assume it'll be "good for primary monitor" use for 5ish years and if it lasts longer, that's nice. If in 5+ years I'm "forced" to get a 480Hz, 4K tandeom OLED to replace it... I'll be OK. Or it'll go in a guest bedroom. Or...

Burn in is most noticeable in desktop situations anyway and if it lives a second life for movies, that's OK. Plenty of people lived just fine with burned in CRTs for years.

Burn in isn't a problem the same way it was 10-15 years ago. A lot of people being concerned is 5+ years out of date.

I've been using a Samsung "Space Monitor" since 2019 and have been happy with it. I think it might help you here if I'm understanding your needs correctly.

In the first photo on the Amazon link I've provided you should see it's weird mount that gives it it's moniker, due to the 'space saving' nature of it.

It's not an OLED though which I did not realize you wanted until after typing all of that so I'm gonna respond anyway though lol
