why the hell would you do that? you realize that eventually you will have to replace the filter by removing almost all of the duct tape, it also will probably obstruct intake airflow. Also, that cable management job is terrible.

Rip airflow. Also op air filters like that can not be cleaned they will permanently clog over the course of a year of consistant operation and then either no airflow or well the filters paper rips.

 

You basically made a air purifier haha.

Lol yeah, this bad boy is going straight to the workshop, all it needs to do is not cough up saw dust, run a CNC and play lady gaga music videos.

It's running a 
Intel Core2 Quad Q9550 (that i delided without knowing that its one of the first soldered CPU's)
8 GB of random DDR2 RAM

GTX 460 SE with a cooler from a dead mining GPU (its holding on for dear life with 1 screw and a zip tie) - Mainly just for YT video decode

This is brilliantly overkill. I love it.

Now try sealing the seems of your case and getting fans that can get good static pressure.

 

Take a heat element and submerge it in mineral oil for a cheap smoke machine. Use the smoke to visualize airflow when assembled. I bet you'll find the seems to still be pulling in dust if that's what you're trying to eliminate. You'll need at least one more roll of duct tape.

you need to remove it when the filter gets super dirty, and it will look super bad after like 2 months of use.

It's a shop PC and its a generica grey case covered in duct tape, do you think he cares about looks? Why the hate? I encourage this kind of modding.
