L1T did a review of the 9070 XT on Linux and according to Wendell, yes, it does look like a rough start for the 9070 series at launch. Depending on your current environment, you might need a newer firmware blob and/or kernel and/or mesa version.

 

It will hopefully get better soon across the board.

Linux makes life better, breathes fresh life into older hardware and reduces e-waste. Adopt a penguin today! 🐧
