I would like to purchase a motherboard, but I'm not sure which one has the best built-in audio for use with a microphone. Could you recommend some models with excellent sound quality?

So we need more information.

What socket type / CPU are planning on using with this motherboard?

My system has the following specifications:

  • Processor: AMD Ryzen 7 3700X
  • RAM: G.Skill Trident Z 16GB
  • Graphics Card: Sapphire RX 580 8GB Nitro+
  • Motherboard: B450 AORUS Pro
  • Power Supply: Cooler Master 850W Full Modular

I've been searching for days to find a motherboard with the best built-in sound for microphone use, but I haven't reached a conclusion yet. Ideally, I'm looking for a motherboard with better built-in sound than the one I currently have, if one exists. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

What microphone are you using? Why not get a mixing board/audio interface if you want better sound?

I wouldn't buy a motherboard based on onboard audio.  Some of it is pretty decent but you can always get a USB dongle or even a gaming DAC/Amp for that matter so you are free from focusing on the audio.

Antlion makes a dongle

Schiit makes a gaming DAC

Now im using Maono PD200x

If you're using USB, then the motherboard quality does not matter. The sound processing is done on the microphone itself.
If you're using XLR... motherboard still not does matter because it would depend on the music interface providing phantom power, and other things.

Regarding headphone quality, the motherboard still does not matter because the DAC part of a sound card has been solved for a very long time. If for some reason you think your motherboard sound card is mediocre, then you can buy a known-good DAC like the $9 Apple USB-C headphone adapter and see if you can hear any audio improvement.
