Hello all, so a little backstory. After watching the video on LTT about how the gamemax 1050w PSU failed, I've become super paranoid regarding failure with this PSU. I've had this PSU since July 2023 and have never had any issues with it when I was using it with my 3060 ti and 10900kf.

When I upgraded my system in 2024, I got a 4070 ti super and eventually got the 265k. PCPartPicker, after all my fans and peripherals were accounted for, gave me an estimate wattage of 721w, which is part of the reason I got the gamemax PSU; I wanted to have reasonable headroom when i knew I would upgrade in a year(2023 to 2024). Second biggest reason I got this PSU was because cybenetics gave it a pretty good rating and it honestly convinced me that it was good.

So now I am here and haven't slept all night over thinking, what should I swap out my psu for.

I was thinking of getting the lian li edge 1000w PSU and the cybenetics website has it listed as having good performance. But if it's boiling down to manufacture sending out better models to reviewers and cheaping out on consumer versions, I don't know if I can trust the website.

Thanks in advance and apologies for the long post.

You are right in changing out the Gamemax PSU, they are all garbage and should not be used.

I personally only use Corsair RMx lineup and I stand by their reliability.  They have an updated 2024 model ATX 3.1.

There are other good PSU's out there that are cheaper like the Toughpower GF1 from Thermaltake.

Both of these PSU's come with 10 year warranty.

+1 for Corsair RMx, tho I'm not sure the new "Shift" have the same level of quality

Else BeQuiet, Phanteks and NZXT are good picks as well

Not too sure what the difference between the atx 3.0 and 3.1 is. Would that make a difference in performance?

Edit

I ended up with the Corsair RM1000e

Thanks for the help guys

Wasn't looking to spend more on a PSU, but better safe than sorry.
