Hello everyone, i am currently contemplating on whether i should upgrade my computer now or wait for later. Can anyone give me advice on what i should do?

My circumstances:
1. I have the budget to upgrade, but i would rather spend less if possible. Currently have around $300 to $400 but i would like to spend just $300 which converts to roughly Rp5.000.000 to Rp5.500.000 in local currency.

2. I’m currently approaching 17, I live in SEA and planning to go to taiwan in 1.5 years time to continue my studies, i probably wont be able to bring my PC (

i should be able to bring my cpu,ram , and gpu, not just the big one like the case),  so upgrading now would be a waste. Taiwan is quite far from here. I’m taking engineering so having a computer is necessary.

3. My current specs are: e3-1270v3 (i7 4770), RX 6650xt, 16gb ddr3, thermaltake gf2 650watt psu.

4. Playing games are kinda laggy with the pc, elden ring only can get 40fps max (any setting), genshin and valorant work fines but many frame drops. Valorant also has screen tearing.

5. I want to keep my win10 pro license and upgrade to win11 pro, by the time i go uni, the win10 pro upgrade is already unavalable. My currently pc dont meet the requirements, no tpm slot in mobo too, valorant checks tpm before starting the game so i need tpm.

6. My parents are going to borrow me a laptop, lenovo ideapad 15are05, so i dont think i can upgrade the laptop.

Lot of people recommended me to buy a laptop, but my parents is going to borrow me one if their laptops, i cant just deny the laptop and request a new gaming one. I also currently selling me pc, if its sells i will obtain arounf $100. Thank you for your help.

Quite frankly I reccomend either waiting and saving up to get a smaller one or going with what @Why_Me suggested in the lian li dan A3 because it is mATX but very compact and able to be transferred with a lil packing

If you disagree with anything I've said tell my why with logic not feeling

If you wanna correct smb do so with logic not anecdotes and feelings

I suggest either of these 2 options

a)upgrade now in a more mobile form factor such as mATX with the specific case I suggested so you can take the PC with you (cause ITX is too damn expensive) because this case is fairly good, inexpensive and small enough to be transfered more easily that an average small PC case that isnt ITX oriented

b) save up and when you move get a new PC where you will be living so you dont have to transfer anything

I cannot tell you to do smt specific I can only make suggestions and the way I see it these 2 options are your best ones
