is there a adpater to plug a pi5 pcie hat into a desktop

May or may not work with yours, probably should.

You need to figure out what kind of protocol is uses to communicate. It likely used PCIe, so you'd need to find an adapter for the connector it uses to a suitable PCIe connector to your motherboard.

it is pcie as seiad into the title i havnt been able to find one with a fue quick seatrches so wondering if anyone else know one
