I followed the steps as listed in this thread from a couple years ago:

I've triple checked that I have the correct BIOS update, on a FAT32 USB 2.0 that is plugged into the Flashback USB port on the mobo.

I'm suspecting that a BIOS update is what's causing kernal 41 issues, and my bios says my bios version is from 3/1/24, which I know is outdated. I've had other similar issues that lead me to believe I may need a BIOS update.

The most recent BIOS update available for this mobo is v3.20 from 2025/2/27, should I try an older version like 3.16 and see if that works? Or is there a better solution here?

Update: Used v3.16 and it downloaded with no issues. However, it cleared my XMP profile and set my 6000mHz ram to 3200mHz. I had to go in and manually tell it to read the full 6000mHz. We'll see if that causes a problem.

I also manually enabled XMP (I think) in the ram settings of the BIOS. I didn't realize until after I did so that my ram is all set up for Intel XMP 3.0, so I'll test tomorrow if there's any issues that come from that. (G.Skill Ripjaws S5, 4 sticks at 16gb each)

Would still like advice on how to get to newest BIOS update if possible.

Also realized I didn't post my rig, so here's my stuff if anybody feels like pointing out any potential issues:

B650M Pro RS Wifi

Ryzen 7 7800x3d

Zotac 4070Ti Super

64gb DDR5 6000mHz cl30 ram

850w NZXT 85 gold PSU (I think?)

All CPU and GPU drivers are updated as of now.
