They play a short video Reel first one plays next one wont just black window where the video was. I was hoping the midget army would have taken over pc fixing by now but nope.

I'd fix the part where the kids can't live without Facebook.

 

Then I'd try clearing Facebook cookies and data and see if it was that.

 

Also clearing Temp data on the PC might move some gears.

One of the things you could do, and is where I would start with a fix, would be to un-install the facebook software or application.  Don't just delete it, completely un-istall.  I would use the AOMEI Uninstaller, I have had it for quite some time and have found nothing better.

 

Download, install, run as administrator.  Once that is done, just go with the prompts on the screen or just take a few minutes and you'll get it figured out.  Once that is done, and the process is complte, RESTART your computer, that will ensure the changes you made will happen.

try getting them to watch tv cartoons or something, used to have cds with a bunch of cartoons about a decade ago as a kid and id just pop it in the dvd reader and watch on tv stuff like tom and jerry

 

if it cant be helped anyways and you cant figure out how to fix facebook theres plenty of other reels like tiktok instagram reels yt shorts etc. and afaik they arent any different well except intagram reels comments but i assume theyre too young to understand whatever ppl are yapping about in those so should be fine hopefully

Though the above is funny granted. But still not helpful. Tried uninstalling firefox from the pc cleaning cache. Downloading latest version installing adding bookmarks passwords etc. Hasnt helped.

 

Update. I tried using Edge as it was sitting there doing nothing. Same issue so its not Firefox its PC or internet related.....

 

Speed test puts me where i should be cable outages etc but we maintain the speeds i pay for.

quick way to try is using another browser, (for browser data and cookies problem)

To briefly walk you through temp cleansing.

 

Temp files, on Windows you search for Run commander:

 

Shortcut for this is WindowsKey+R,

 

then, there's 2 folders you want to open with this command:

"temp" and "%temp%" folders

 

 

• It is worth noting that there are (creative) apps that will lose auto-save (not installed games)

 

In each folder you select all files, and delete them, if there's thousands of those you can click one, press CTRL+A to select all and then delete.

 

Some files might ask you for Admin permission for deletion:

 

So you check the box, and hit continue.

 

There are also files in use, because it's a temp (temporary file) folder:

 

For that you just hit skip on those files.

 

 

 

If this isn't simple enough feel free to ask more stuff.

• To only clear Facebook data, so that you don't get signed out of everything you "manage data"

 

• You search facebook, click, delete, save, done.

Didn't work but didn't kill my pc so its a win.

 

4 browsers tested on this pc none of them work. So not a browser issue or a internet issue in that it runs to the speed it should.

How about enabling/disabling hardware acceleration?
