Ryzen 5800X only gets to 4.3 GHz

Should I leave PBO limits  on disable?

I would revert to default in the UEFI and probably just uninstall Ryzen Master and see if you can get it to draw full wattage. There's an arbitrary or real limitation somewhere keeping the CPU from hitting its max TDP.

I have a Ryzen 5800X, and I tried playing Minecraft with some mods, but my FPS is terrible. I read that Minecraft Java Edition relies heavily on the CPU and less on the GPU.

The other day, I tried overclocking, but my PC blue-screened twice, so I reverted the overclock. Right now, the only tweak I have is enabling DOCP for my RAM, setting my FCLK frequency to 1800MHz, and enabling Above 4G Decoding.

I don’t want to overclock, but I do want my CPU to perform better. My specs are:

  • Motherboard: Crosshair VIII Dark Hero
  • CPU: Ryzen 5800X
  • GPU: RTX 3080 10GB RoG Strix
  • RAM: Trident Z Neo 3600MHz (4 x 8GB)
  • PSU: RoG 1000W
  • Cooling: iCUE H150i Elite Capellix AiO
  • Storage: WD Black SN850 2TB

My case has excellent airflow, so temperatures aren’t an issue.

Some people suggested using PBO, but I don’t know how to set it up. I mainly use my PC for gaming and 3D printing. Can someone guide me on what to do? I’ve watched several YouTube videos, but none of them helped. here is a screenshot of Ryzen Master that says that my maximum Frecuency is 4.3 GHz

When you run something like Cinebench R23, what score and max wattage do you reach on the CPU?

I just downloaded Cinebench r23, the max wattage that my cpu pulls is 84-85 W, i am waiting for the score

TDP limit somewhere, a 5800x should draw in excess of 140W. Clock speed at higher utilization percent will drop if there's not enough wattage to sustain a higher boost clock.

Here is the results. I dont know what to do to improve my CPU performance. some people told me that Ryzen master sucks for overclocking and I should just do ut in the Bios. do you know what should I type in the bios? or do you have a video to safely make my max speed higher? Also, my temperatures were pretty low I think, the cpu only got to 68 Celsius degrees when running cinebench

You can fairly easily ignore ryzen master entirely and just use PBO2 to offset the standard boost curve. Generally most CPUs can do +200MHz (max frequency offset) and like -15mV. Some CPUs can go to like -40mV at +200MHz, silicon lottery and cooling apply.

Just saw a video and I applied these numbers. I tried cinebench and in the first pass it crashes.

Why are you enforcing PBO wattage limits? Only things necessary to adjust on PBO2 are the frequency and voltage offsets.
