Hi,

I updated to Windows 11 24H2 on my Asus VivoBook laptop. I have Microsoft Works 9 installed on it because WordPad does not exist on 24H2 for some reason. I updated after installing Works 9 and got a bunch of updates for Office 2007. Still Hyperlinks won't work.

It's probably a compatibility issue, that software is 18 years old after all. Try running the program in Win XP or 7 compatibility mode. Also, why are you trying to use office 2007 instead of something more modern?

Failure is part of success. I may make mistakes, that's how we all learn.

Microsoft Works 9 was released over 15 years ago (in 2007), so I'm not surprised portions of it are breaking / non-functional. If links in other apps work, like say when you visit any website, or open a Google Document / Microsoft Word Document in their respective website-based versions, that proves links in general work on your computer, narrowing the issue down to the Microsoft Works 9 software. Also, Wordpad is end of life.

You could contact the software developer (Microsoft) to see if they'd release a patch, but I'ma tell ya right now they'll tell you Works 9 is well beyond end of life and that you should purchase a modern version of Office. If you don't wish to purchase Microsoft Office, you can always use a free document editing suite, such as Google Docs online, Microsoft Office online, or https://www.libreoffice.org/ if you want an offline application.
