need help launching a game through a network drive

i recenlty installed gta V onto a drive i have in a server in my house, and mapped it to my gaming laptop so i can access the files and run the game without it being downloaded on my laptop. when i try to run gta, i get hit with a:

23:06:05: Starting BattlEye Service...
23:06:07: Updating...
23:06:09: Launching game...
23:06:19: Note: File blocks can be ignored if they don't cause problems with the game.
23:06:19: [INFO] Blocked loading of file with unsupported UNC network path: "\\[server]\[server folder for games]\Epic\GTAV\GTA5.exe".
23:06:19: Failed to launch game.

any help would be apprectiated. side note i have run other smaller games like brawlhalla through this with no problem.

It appears that loading games that use BattlEye over a UNC network file share is not "officially" supported.
