Honestly, unless you want to spend way too much money, I think a used 6700 XT or 6750 XT is probably the best bet if you can find it for under $300 or your local equivalent.

Gaming PC: Ryzen 5 5600 :: Gigabyte RTX 2070 Super Gaming OC :: MSI B550-VC :: WD SN750 :: NH-D15 :: 32GB DDR4-3200 :: Phanteks Enthoo Pro M TG :: Windows 10

Laptop: Latitude E5440 (i5-4200U, 8GB DDR3-1600, 500GB Sandisk SSD) :: Linux Mint XFCE

Office PC: Optiplex 5090 (i7-10700, 16GB DDR4-2933, Quadro P400, 500GB SSD) :: Windows 10

File and Media Server: Precision 3620 (i5-7500, 16GB DDR4-2133, a bunch of old recert HDDs) :: TrueNas Scale

Web Server: Raspberry Pi 4 Model B (2GB RAM, 64GB storage) :: Raspberry Pi OS

Home Assistant: Lenovo ThinkCenter M700 (i3-6100, 4GB DDR4-2133, 250GB SSD) :: HassOS

Prob a 6600xt from AMD
These are some benchmarks I found https://www.gpucheck.com/gpu/amd-radeon-rx-6600-xt/amd-ryzen-5-3600/

I agree that the 6600 XT is a decent 1080p GPU, but this website gives some wild over-exaggerations of performance. "4K gaming is joyous on this RX 6600 XT?" Yeah, not in any relatively recent game lol.

They all advertising that, but not really wrong if you use FSR (DLSS if you get an Nvidia card)

If the price is right you can even get a 3050/3060 and use that for 1080p.

The real question is, what kind of games and do you need RayTracing.

Like if you want 1080p 60 in Forza a basic 3050 or 6500 can do fine with high graphics setting. But if you want 1080P 120hz in 2077 with ultra, then you might need a 4070/3080/7900XT

Not sure how helpful this might be, but i got an RTX 4060 back in like autumn 2023 for around 300 euros.

At the time it was still a pretty new GPU since it released i think in July 2023 if i remember right ?

I've been using it at 1080p for any game and have not had absolutely ANY issues with it so far - i haven't even needed to use DLSS because at that resolution it seems the card itself is more than enough to get 60 FPS in pretty much any game.

I would definetly recommend the card if you can find it for like 250-300 euros. 🙂
