ASUS ProArt P16 secondary 4TB SSD disappearing on sleep in windows, but always available in BIOS and Device manager.

Finally made the decision to upgrade from the old Dell Precision 7530 to a ProArt P16.  So far everything is great, it's just as advertised, compact and light compared to the old Dell, and way, way faster in every sense of the word.  I have only one complaint, when the computer sleeps for any reason, my 4tb media storage ssd is never present when the computer wakes.  It's always recognized in device management and a reboot will bring it back 95% of the time.  For the other 5%, a quick reboot into bios, then out again fixes it until the computer sleeps.  Sleep and power management settings have been changed to prevent hybrid sleep, and putting the disks to sleep is set at never.  Bios is latest, and this is a clean install of windows.  Drive works fine in desktop, and other laptops upon sleep, only the ASUS ProArt has the issue.  ASUS support is putting it down to the advertised compatible drive size being 2TB, but this is 2025 people, should i still be carrying around my data on an external drive?  Have anyone else had success with greater thanb 2TB drives being stable?

Any help would be appreciated if you have it.  I'll keep trucking along otherwise.  The old drive is a TEAMGROUP MP34 4TB with DRAM SLC Cache 3D NAND TLC NVMe 1.3 PCIe Gen3x4 M.2 2280 Internal SSD (Read/Write Speed up to 3,500/2,900 MB/s) Compatible with Laptop & PC Desktop TM8FP4004T0C101

It has worked for several years and still does, except when waking on the ProArt P16.
