Hello!

I am building my first PC in summer, but I need your help…

I am thinking of getting the Ryzen 9 9900x CPU & the Gigabyte B650 Eagle AX MB, but I read on reddit, that apparently some motherboards have worse VRMs than others and it is not recommended to use higher end cpu’s with them.

So I just wanna know, is this combo OK? Or do I need a better motherboard?

btw I know I know it doesn’t support the cpu out of the box, I am ok with flashing the BIOS, I just want to know if it will handle my processor.

Yes, the Gigabyte B650 Eagle AX can handle a 9900x 🙂

Is this for gaming or other type of workload?

Before we move on, what exactly are you going to do with that machine? There's a pretty good chance you're buying the wrong components here, one way or another.

Thats fair 🙂  That motherboard will handle the 9900x during those workloads.

Just have some alright airflow in your case and you'll be golden 🙂
