Hello, I'm writing this post on behalf of a friend since he doesn't speak very good English.

In short, his laptop shutdown randomly and stop receiving power from the power adapter and it stop charging the battery.

he took it to the insurance and they changed the motherboard 2 TIMES! and the power adapter once. the third time he took it to them they refused to fix since its most likely a manufacturing defect, but they wont refund him the full price but rather a quarter what he paid (since he used it for 2 years now).

note-worthy: we stress-test it multiple times. we found out its not consistent. sometimes it shutdown and sometimes not. even when browsing the internet with just discord in the background, it happens sometimes.

+ while gaming, temps reach 115° C. (yes, 115° C) i don't think this is normal, no?

what should he do?

That sounds like a power system error.
Looking at the service manual

I can see an independent component for the power adapter which might be broken, is that what they replaced? Or did they replace the power brick that plugs into the wall. There is also a chance that the battery is acting funky. I'd recommend inspecting those connections

That's not good. Assuming no changes to the stock fan curve, it's probably due for a cleaning

they replaced the whole power brick and cable.

and the fans are clean, new thermal paste (at least what the insurance company told him. doing it by himself will void his warranty -_-)

Then the last two things would be replacing the power adapter internal component and the battery

The third time was refused because by the insurance company. I'm talking about the manufacturer's warranty. If it's still valid, then contact the manufacturer. If it is not valid, then you are out of warranty and no longer care about stickers and "do not open void warranties" claims.

Just saying.
