Lian li a3 mATX case Gigabyte 4080 super aero compatibility

Go to solution Solved by Lurking,

Gamemax Meshbox Pro is a very small ATX case. Not much taller than the A3. Not sure about GPU length limits, though.

All the small mATX cases have similar issues. And the YT reviews omit the bottom fans for that reason.

Or check the Asus AP201.

Hello all,

I have been trying to search everywhere for details on a potential build I am trying to do. I will be doing:

Lian li a3 Dan white wood mATX case

Lian li hydroshift 360 aio

Gigabyte b650M elite AX Ice micro ATX Gigabyte aero gaming 4080 super

A few Lian li wireless fans including some at the bottom

Seasonic vertex gx 1200 white

My only concern is that fitting the gpu in this case would not let me put some fans on the bottom due to its thickness. Every support page I've checked (including Lian Li's) talks about only the length of the gpu but not the thickness of it which in many case its critical for a good fit in combination with extra fans. If anyone has any idea or can confirm this can fit, please feel free to help out.

Looking to scale down from a full tower to a compact build hence the desire to use this case.

Card size

L=342 W=150 H=75 mm

It is thicker than both actually. Seems like a problem with thickness although all support pages say it will fit.....probably it can fit but without any fans underneath

can't you get different case or card?

I already have the card in an existing build. Trying to trim down from a big build to a smaller one. All support pages said it can fit so I picked this case as my case study. Any smaller case suggestions would be helpful. I don't want a mid size case as it's still big...

ye I never understood that sentiment of making your PC case slightly or moderately smaller, but you do you.

exactly, cases are usually big for the same reason your GPU is so big, but I digress..
