MB: Gigabyte Aorus Z390 PRO (NON-WIFI) Rev 1.0.

Case: CORSAIR Frame 4000D RS ARGB

Fans: Preinstalled in case, 3x CORSAIR RS120 ARGB

**First time building a PC**

Fans are getting power and spinning as normal, but the RGB will not work on the fans. I've checked connections, installed multiple different RGB controller software (EX. Fusion, SignalRGB, iCUE) but none seem to recognize the fans and do not list them anywhere.

I've followed my MB manual exactly and plugged into the 5v 3 pin (4 pin but 1 blanked out) RGB header labeled "D_LED1". I've also tried in "D_LED2" header and reseating all connections as the fans are daisy chained from the factory.

I'm not sure what else to try.

Any help or insight would be very appreciated.

The board has by default the header in 12v mode. Did you switch it to 5v mode with the switch on the board? If not do that right now before you fry the rgb header or the fans.

Did you get this board used? It's an much older board and potentially the rgb header got damaged from people not correctly using the rgb mode on it.

your board is also a more early computer rgb board so it could be that it is not behaving correctly with the corsair fans. That was normal for  2018-2019 when it came out to happen sometimes.

Did you check the bios if the rgb header is enabled?

Did you download the rgb fusion program specifically listed in the downloads section for that board?

Where would the switch be located? I looked in the manual and googled, but cannot seem to find it.

The board is 2nd hand but is in great shape and was used for maybe a month prior to receiving it, but doesn't rule out damage.

I did check bios and the RGB settings are all enabled.

I downloaded the fusion program from gigabyte directly after installing the board.
