Hi, I have been using this system for almost 4-6 years now, it was given to me by my dad who used to play on it so it's quite an old machine (around 10 years). I recently decided to switch my old RX 590 to the RX 5500 XT (dad had a spare one in another pc) so I could play Marvel Rivals, but now decided I want to upgrade it even more anyway. My current plan is to upgrade to an Intel Arc B580 GPU (recommended by a friend), Ryzen 5 7500F CPU, Gigabyte B650 Eagle AX and at least 32GB DDR5 RAM. I am fairly new to pc building so I don't know what are good components and should I even upgrade the GPU since the CPU seems to be problem right now, it's all very confusing and scary to me. Also I'm not looking for something ultra fancy, I just want my pc to be able perform at least 60fps while recording. https://pcpartpicker.com/list/MwyNxg

Any advice would be greatly appreciated, thank you

Welcome to the forum my friend

Since you are on a budget

here are a few suggestions

-Get an mATX board as they are cheaper but still pretty good

-The GPU you chose aka the b580 is good for that platform but its prices can be inflated so if you cant find it under at most 350 euros I'd suggest the rx 7600xt which typically is around 330 to 345 euros

-While you can get by with 16gb of ram you should be fine with 32gb ram and no more will be needed

-I'd suggest you get a new PSU even at 650w as it will serve you better

Smt like this basically

CPU: 7500f

Motherboard: Asrock b650m HDV/M.2

Cooler: Thermalright Assassin spirit 120 evo dark or if you can find it for under 35 euros the Arctic freezer 36

Ram: Any cl30 6000mhz kit will do so choose the cheapest

SSD: MP44l 1tb, SN580 blue 1tb and you have some spare SSDs from your previous build

GPU: The ones I suggested or you can keep using your 5500xt and save up to upgrade the GPU later down the line as it'll hold on a while longer (Say 1 to max 3 years) when the GPU prices on the new gen will be more settled and the previous gen will drop in price

PSU: An MSI A650GL or the A750GL perhaps as they tend to be cheaper but they are more than fine

Case you can just find one you like or use the one you have

Right now is the worst time to buy a GPU. Nevertheless, the Arc B580 GPU is the lowest-performing GPU out of the recent gen. A used 3070 would be better.
And no matter what don't look at the 4060s.

So this fucker is worth A LOT of money. Sells for around 150$ on ebay as it's one of the halo boards of that era. So if ya want to you can get a nice bit of money back. The remainder of the system will also part out nicely.

As for budget got a pic of the case? If that is reusable again money saved!

Then I'd say from the helpfull sites @Why_Me posted and a 7500f based system is easily doable.

I would have a look at used gpu's as a 350€ budget is quite a lot and you can grab some REALLY nice used cards for that. Check if any amd or nvidia high end older ones area available locally.

Else this is a good core make sure the ram is 6000 mhz and the cl latency is as close to 30 as you can get for paying almost no premium for it.

Then a peerless as the cooler

https://geizhals.eu/thermalright-peerless-assassin-120-se-v136700.html

Then for psu no less than this (preferably something better even)

https://geizhals.eu/be-quiet-system-power-10-750w-atx-2-52-bn329-a2836201.html?hloc=at&hloc=de&hloc=eu&hloc=pl&hloc=uk

Nvme drive the ud90 by why_me is a good budget option.

And the remainder is up in the air for now. This should be under 600 at the very least.

Do they really sell for that much? Seems kinda ridicolous considering its just haswell and its just your regular high end asus board

imo both a boring platform and a boring board relative to stuff like the evga sr2 or classified and whatnot which are rarer but also look cooler, and itll get slaughtered by the giga z97x socf for oc but probably an unfair comparison as the giga z97x socs absolutely dominated z97 for overclocking capabilities

now im curious how much the z97x soc i got is worth on ebay cause as far as i can tell its pretty much the best oc board on haswell behind the 2dimmer z97x socf ln2 and pretty much the only thing youll see hitting ddr3 4000+ thats a 4dimmer which is honestly quite surprising considering this thing is a t topology and is equally good at pushing 4 stick considering 3200c13 4 stick was a breeze to stabilize

best part is the thing only cost me 30$ so yeah i may have missed a few deals s since then (maximus viii hero for 20$ b450a pro and b450 pro4 20$ all easily fixable random restart issues) but damn im glad i did not miss this one =p

As for op are there any workloads the thing isnt keeping up with? Haswell is still pretty damn capable similar in perf to zen2 but it is only a quadcoree

If its only falling behind slightly you should be able to just lock all cores to max 40x multi bclk 105-110 for 4.2-4.4 allcore and ram multi to 26 or higher as 1.4v vccsa/io gets you to 3200 with dualrank on a garbage chip like my g3258 in the photos above (needs 1.5v just to boot 4.5ghz)

26x multi seems to be where most chips like it atleast the two of my g3258 like it at 26x but some will also be able to run the higher multis aswell my better g3258 can run 28x multi, id assume that asus board is atleast halfway decent at overclocking so you should be able to hit these ram speeds unless you have a 4 stick config in that case yeah not gonna do proper speeds if it isnt a giga board
