So i found a Zotac Gaming rtx 4090 trinity for 1500€! i can test it out at his place right now! he put a bunch of pictures too! he said he has it only for 4 months and has the reciept!

Is it a good deal? i isnt being produced anymore and the 5080 is too low and the 5090 is too expensive (even excluding the fact that only scalpers sell them atm)!

CPU: Intel I9-9900K Motherboard: Asus ROG Maximus XI CODE RAM: 32 GB Corsair Vengeance PRO 3200MHZ GPU: Asus ROG 2080ti OC Storage: Samsung 970pro 2x1TB, 2Tb HDD Case: Lian Li PC O11 dynamic, Cooling:custom loop incoming, for now 360 rog ryujin!

1.500 euros for it?! AND you can test it before you buy it?! If the seller has some good reviews too then absolutely it is a killer deal as 4090s go for over 2K in most of europe

If you can also refrence the receipt ,with other ones from the same store for example, before you even go to make sure it is more legit or at least way less likely for it to be a scam (most likely you can at least ask) then you found a great deal
PS dont mark it as solved so others can give their opinion on this cause I could have missed smt

Insane deal if not a scam!! Best price I saw on new cards was like 2000EUR

Yet your 9900K won't be good enough with a 4090, you'll have to upgrade that as well

Absolutely but if it was me I'd snag the 4090 and work from there cause GOD KNOWS when or if you'll find that deal again

From a perfromance stand point it is a bad option cause the 4090 will be bottlenecked HARD but getting a 4090 and upgrading the rest later when you can get the 4090 for below even MSRP  is too good to pass up (Ofc a new PSU might be needed ngl)

And what about this ?

I'd just snag the 4090 off, put some 4060 in and sell it back 1500 EUR 😄

Eventually the 4090 would then cost 1000EUR only

Haha sure it's horrible, but the 4090 inside is basically a FE

It's a good price but is it a reasonable spend for your system?

I wouldn't get it.  It's too much money relatively for your build.  Get a 7900xt or something in that range, upgrade peripherals, etc

1500 in raw money is a lot.  Regardless of what you're buying.

Not to say I would spend that money cause I dont have it or like nvidia and its practives

1500 can upgrade everything, and I just have issues with $1000+ GPUs.

We're making it a new normal and it's just not okay.  It's leading us to $2-$4k GPUs now, the 5090 is being purchased for obscene money. Not to mention the new mid-range is creeping scary high.

I'm just throwing my opinion out there.

I'm just throwing my opinion out there.

You are telling this to smb who hates the idea of companies and stores charging insane prices to screw over the consumer and please the shareholderd brother

I live in a country where stores sell 4080s for nearly the same price as 4090s (normal air cooled cards, not the liquid cooled ones) and 4090s for anywhere north of 2.5k

Hell here they try to sell some b580s for more money than a 7800xt

I personally would never buy anything I dont need for a price I dont feel comfortable with (including GPUs that are 1000+ bucks with nothing to give extra for cheaper GPUS) or for a price that is so much more high than it should (whenever I can cause prices here do be pricey)

That is why I plan to get an AMD gpu, and seriously thinking of going Linux, possibly mint (and figure things out from there rather than compremise with windows), sometime soon for my new build

Cause nvidia and microsoft and these big conglomerates dont respect the consumer so I choose not to support them any way I can

i still have windows 10 and im waiting if maybie the new rumored Steam os would be any good!

And i see the price of the 7900xtx is around 900€ new! that would be maybie enough for a 1440p ultrawide 100 HZ! but only for around the next 2 years at best! I would love to switch to amd gpus too but they said they dont make any new high end cards anmore. i know amd said it isnt worth it to play in the upper percentages anymore witch is not good for prices there! Maybie intel wants to play there in the future but who knows!

I usualy Upgrade so that the system will last me the next 5-6 years so that i feel comftable( i got the 2080 ti and the system i now run in 2018)

7900xtx: 900€ new would be good for 1440p ultrawide 100 HZ but only for maybie the next 2 years!

4090: prices here in germany are around 2000 used or new 3400€

i would even get a 5080( its around 40% better that the 7900xtx)

5080: none in stock and i refuse to pay 1800"new" from scalpers

5090: none in stock and i refuse to pay 4200"new" from scalpers

im realy stuck between a rock and a hardplace! What should i do!

And i usualy pay around 3000 for a new pc in my next upgrade! i mean i have the money but would i feel comftable playing on a overpaid gpu?!

Since you're so sure it'll only last two years, go with the 4090.  It'll last so much longer.
