What's the point of all these high end GPUs if there is no stock?

No way to find a 5090 RTX here in EU, they are all being sold on ebay or other second hand places by stockpilers. Fuck this shit man. How are you supposed to buy a brand new one from a trust seller?

its a paper launch, not unlike Nvidia to do this.

Bots and scalpers do their thing for a few weeks and then stock will slowly improve.

Chinese New Year and the Earthquake on the TSMC factory is definitely not helping either.

The demand for the 5090 has also been through the roof.

I myself am going to buy a RTX 5090 but I am expecting to wait until at least late April.

Its been the same with the past few generations of GPU's, wait a few months and try again. or use re stocking trackers and be ready to buy when restock comes in. Know of a few people who have got pre orders for them but are going to have to wait 3-16 weeks for it to arrive and in that time the price could be raised.

there's not enough supply to meet demand, and scalpers use that to profit highly off what supply they can pick up.

it's not that there's no stock so there's no point to the GPU, it's that there's no stock because the stock is being bought up, so clearly people want them.

as for how to get one.. EU based retailer alternate has apparently decided to only offer RTX 50 series in prebuilts, presumably to avoid scalpers running off with all of them.

it's like buying the GPU for scalper pricing, but you get an entire top of the line gaming pc with it.

NGreedAI just want to show they can make amazing gaming GPUs

But they won't really make them because AI chips make them so much more money

People are so foolish, they will buy any new high end garbo Nvidia and AMD just recently releases and overpay for it. Scalpers make out great from scarcity and so do the so called "trusted retailers". The truth is most people who want the new shiny highest end graphics cards don't really need them. Once these overpriced GPU's are back in stock the sheep will happily hand over their cash because they feel special doing it for what seems like a special product, which is just artificially special because the big guys know how to trick the the sheep.

Walk into a retailer and preorder? Be prepared for high asking price though.

There is a good chance a large portion of scalpers are the retailers themselves. They just do it quietly to avoid any potential backlash.

At least this way you get a legit product and they will back the warranty.

If the price is a problem then too bad. Its a seller's market right now.
