This alone completely eliminates the 1080p option.

It is barely a usable resolution for getting work done in this day and age unless you're running a 3-6 monitor setup.

Hello! I want to upgrade my pc soon and was wondering if I should get the AG276QZD2 OLED 240hz 1440p monitor or the AW2524HF 500hz 1080p monitor for Valorant. I heard that the response times on the AW2524HF cause a lot of ghosting and that the AG276QZD2 just looks clearer from reviews I have seen, but I am still not sure which one would be more beneficial. I also plan to do some productive work. Maybe there is a better monitor out there? My budget is 600 USD. Thanks for the suggestions!

Depending on how essential color accuracy is for your productivity the OLED is a no brainer

If you do photography, video editing or anything related to image and video the OLED is gonna be a great asset and your best friend essentially

If it is for example CAD work, 3D modeling  or anything of that kind then I'd suggest the one with more FPS for valorant as in such CS like games you want more fps where you can get it and valorant aint hard to run

I am not the most well versed in monitor models so I cant suggest specific models sadly

I can't see any real use of a 500Hz monitor unless you're a FPS pro gamer

OLED looks way better and 240Hz is already very high

Im not good, but i am pretty competitive lol. 500hz is also cheaper (like 50 bucks).

What GPU do you have? Regardless, I'd still go with the OLED. Most recent GPU's should be able to handle Valorant at 1440 at over 200fps (especially if you're playing with typical FPS comp settings). Also pixel response time on OLED's is basically instant. The Alienware 500hz has 1ms g2g; the AOC has 0.03ms. That will be more of a benefit for FPS fast-twitch things than 500hz refresh rate. These days, 1920x1080 just ain't enough pixels for me whether I'm gaming or just doing web browsing/productivity stuff.

Completely different monitors. If you focus mainly on fpa the faster one then.

I will be building a new pc, probably a 9700x and a 9070, but I am still deciding.
