Purely for gaming and want to do some emulation. Also have Microsoft Flight Sim 2020

For emulation you might wanna get an nvidia card then and the 5080 is like 5 to max at best 10% better than it so the price jump isnt really worth it

I would like to have an x870 chipset as it has gen 5 pcie so if I decide in the future to get a gen 5 card I won’t have to upgrade my motherboard. But would like advice if this is a stupid decision cuz I don’t know what to do. Also does it matter because I do want to overclock cpu and GPU if possible?

There are motherboards that have PCIE gen 5 and many in the b850 chipset and it doesnt dumb to want it even though PCIE 4 is also crazy fast but anyways

Also no it wont matter, as long as your PSU and the motherboard (most decent and good b650 and b850 boards) will handle it like a champ

For the PSU it’s a Cooler Master 850w Gold power supply.

For the cooler thanks for the info I will see what a 360aio cost my other option was the Deepcool AK620 Digital ARGB Air CPU Cooler

Smt a bit more like the model would be needed for the PSU but I'd also like a bit of a stronger unit like a thermaltake GF3 or an MSI A850GL or A1000G (MSI ones tend to be cheaper in some places)

For the cooler I'd suggest gettin a Liquid freezer 360 III from arctic or thermalright peerless assasin 120 from thermalright

I have given the Philippines price (PHP) and USD. My budget is (PHP) 150,000 or (USD) 2,581.18. I have an idea of parts I want but need some help.

CPU: AMD Ryzen™ 7 9800X3D Desktop Processor - (PHP) 30,000 or ~(USD) 517

GPU(s): RX 7900 XTX - (PHP) 60,400 or ~(USD) 1,039

OR

RTX 4080 - (PHP) 69,000 or ~(USD) 1,187

OR

RTX 5080 - (PHP) 84,000 or ~(USD) 1,445

Please give me advice as to what I should do as all are really good offers.

Motherboard: X870 Eagle WIFI7 -(PHP) 14,500 or ~(USD) 250

RAM: Lexar ARES RGB 32GB (2x16GB) DDR5 RAM 6000MHz CL34 Desktop Memory (LD5FU016G-R6000GDGA) - (PHP) 6,350 or

~(USD) 109

CPU Cooler: darkFlash Radiant DC 240 ARGB 240mm Liquid CPU Cooler [Black] - (PHP) 2,895 or (USD) 50

Case: DK415M M-ATX PC Case - (PHP) 2,495 or (USD) 43

PSU: 850w power supply - (PHP) 7,000 or (USD) 121

So total using the most expensive part is (PHP) 147,240 or ~(USD) 2,534

So any help big or small is appreciated as I don’t want to miss out on anything.

Cheers,

@R10_JR

What do you want the PC for? Purely gaming or also productivity?

Generally tho here are some notes

-The ram is slow and you want 6000mhz cl30 not cl34

-What brand PSU is it?

-An aio is worth the results at 360 and above (sometimes 280 and above) so either go for a 360 aio or better yet get an air cooler

-If you dont care about raytracing and upscalling the 7900xtx is a great deal as it is either neck and neck or better than those GPUs (depends on the game, resolution and settings)

-You can save a bit of money by getting a b850 or a x670 or a b650 motherboard

Do you have any links to where you will be purchasing from and what is your monitor resolution?

For the ram thanks will have be cl30 nice catch lol did not notice that lol but don’t know the difference as it’s my first pc lol.

would love ray tracing but can live without ray tracing. I care more if the GPU stands to the test of time.

Thanks for the links will definitely be going back to the pc shop when my cpu arrives.

As for the RTX 5070 TI I am less confident about the actual performance of the card as reviews haven’t been good so far lol.

Also the fact that I might need  to wait more than 2 weeks as my country is delayed in getting the new cards roughly 1 month as cards just started arriving for 5080 just 2nd week February.

Also have waited to build my PC since start of December so I don’t know how much longer I can wait as I don’t have a console and use my old laptop that uses GTX 1660 and feels like it got slower since I got it lol.
