(Copied and pasted from the Microsoft forums where I couldn't post this for some reason)

I opened my laptop to an error message about a failed boot, didn't think much about it, rolled back to the previous windows 10 update automatically and started using the laptop, only to find out that the brightness slider did *nothing*

Can't change it in settings, Can't change it with Fn+f10/11, Can't change it in power settings.

The slider shows up and the laptop "says" that it's changing the brightness, but it doesn't and it's stuck at what it seems ~100% brightness.

What I've tried:

1. I've tried downloading new graphics drivers, didn't work.

2. Rolled back to a previous version of windows AND graphics drivers, didn't work.

3. Downloaded windows 11, from windows 10, got new graphics drivers, didn't work.

4. Completely uninstalled all drivers and the display adapter in control panel, downloaded new drivers AGAIN, didn't work.

5. Enabled the lightness control from PowerShell, didn't work

6. Changed all power settings, ran the laptop plugged in, unplugged, didn't work.

7. And ofcourse, have turned it off and on again about 5 times.

Any help would be greatly appreciated 🙂
