VPN Free Trial?

I never used a VPN on my Dell XPS laptop.  I have used free ones on my Chromebook though like thundervpn and proton VPN.  I don't think these are good because it's free?

 

 

Now what's a good pain VPN?  Are there good VPNs where you can sign up and get a free trial and cancel after so and so days?  If so, which are they?  The other thing is... are there people that do this with several VPNs just to use it for free if say they want to use a VPN for like a month or so?  Like imagine signing up for so and so VPN and use it for a week and then cancel.  Then do it again with another provider and then cancel after a week or whatever amount of free trial they give you.  So in the end, you use it for free if you want it for a month but you do get to experiment with each of these and could tell which one is good?

 

 

I want to test a few VPNs on my Dell XPS laptop and my Chromebook and maybe my iphone.  What are some good ones?  The other thing is you always have to provide your credit card with this right?  Like none of these paid VPN give you free trial unless you input your credit card information?  I remember Kaspersky Total years ago I signed up for a 30 day free trial and had to put in my credit card information and after 30 days, I just kept it and paid for it and kept using it since.

I like ProtonVPN.  Strong security, reliable, no data limit even on the free version.

Free version is limited to certain locations but hey, it can be used for free.

I used it on my chromebook the free version.  Isn't the issue so many people use the free one so sites might think you are hacked if you do online banking or something like that since many people use the same free VPN IP address?

What basis do you have for this?

 

For example, MalwareBytes free version is better than 99% of others paid versions.

 

I personally use Nord and I no longer get AT&T or Comcast emails about.... stuff :0

Well are people who are using the free VPN... basically all sharing the same IP address with tens of thousands of people then?  With the paid one, you are still sharing the same IP address as tons of people but not as much since it's paid?  How does that work?
