Laptop single sodimm okay?

Always upgraded dual slots for like everything. Just purchased a hp victus back when it was on sale 4050 16gb ddr4 for $600 so not horrible. But I'd like to upgrade the ram. For now I'd like 32gb $50 isn't that bad for ddr4. May upgrade to 64 down the road. But I should have no issue with just running si gle slot correct?

You'll lose some performance without dual channel.

But the laptop will work yea

Ah should get me by was going to order Acer ram and put it in this hp for the lols but eh may as well use hp sodimm

If you plan to add another stick and make it dual channel in the future then it should be fine.

If you plan to just use single channel, I'd be curious why

Had a noob mistake and didn't check if it even supported 64gb lol. Oh well canceled before it shipped at least. I'll just go with G skill dual 16gb. Assuming G skill is still decent. Unless any other suggestions under $60 can't be a huge difference in the companies.

Eh usual ones are Crucial, Kingston, etc.

Any should do, and neither brand give more perf over others. So just get whatever cheapest IMO.
