Beyerdynamic DT 990 Pro 80ohms with the Rode AI-1

Go to solution Solved by Crystallight,

Seem to have "solved it" putting the AI-1 output and input to 24bit 88200 HZ seem to have made audio play without any crazy high pich sounds will keep testing them with music and gaming and see if it was just that simple.

Not 100% sure what im doing wrong but soon I plug the jack into the Rode AI-1 and play a video it doesnt do any sound or it play an crazy high pich sound.
I was hoping is be an simple plug in and work.
Anyway got any clues what im doing wrong or does not work like an simple plug though the Beyerdynamic DT 990 Pro has the right jack and all for it.

I have the AI-1 and similarly driven headphones, no issues here.  All I can say is that there could be some kind of grounding issue with the USB cable?  It's supposed to be pretty straight forward..... Plug in USB, plug in headphones, hear sound.  There is always the off chance of software shenanigans so maybe reinstall the device?  I've had zero issues with mine.

Well that what is weird I plug into my computer as you can unscrew the bigger jack to use for phones and such.

It works completely fine that way.

Is there an setting I need to change in windows like the hz's or the audio?.

I also note this but I think shouldn't make an differences It came with an usb A to usb c cable in the box but was quite sort so I just used an usb c to usb C cable.

I'm pretty sure it's a faulty unit, Rode has excellent customer support.  I would contact them

there is a audio playback mode on the AI-1 that.. plays back the sound made by the microphone. Due to audio dark magic, if you put your headphones near the microphone you can get a loud, high pitched sound. Feedback. Exactly the same thing when you hold a microphone up to a PA speaker that said microphone is attached to.

Make sure that isn't activated.. you get it by pressing down one of the volume knobs.
