Wuthering Waves update, mac release, and ray tracing

Wuthering Waves is getting an update, 2.1, on february 13th, which includes ray tracing for Nvidia 40 series RTX GPU’s and above.

 

And in March, the game will be released on MacOS.

Only  for 40 series and above? Why?

If the video didn't mention RTX ON/OFF I probably thought this is just Reshade shader.

That’s what the article said, though it may also work, either by default or using some workaround, for older rtx cards.

 

and yes, it also just looks like reshade to me, and I don’t even care about ray tracing on rtx cards in this game,

 

The exciting thing is such a popular game coming so Mac, especially if it has MetalFX 3 upscaling and ray tracing, and if fps also gets uncapped, the upcoming M4 Ultra Mac Studio will run this game like butter.
