I need help with creating a printer server for my raspberry pi 4

Go to solution Solved by Needfuldoer,

You want to set up a CUPS print server that presents the printers over Samba for Windows clients.

Use a VPN like Tailscale. You absolutely do not want to port forward a printer to the Internet.

I want to run the pi and the printer in just a corner of the house without needing to hook it up to a desktop/laptop. I don't know how to make the pi do that, and I checked the printer has drivers for linux. And is it possible for me to port forward the pi so that I can use it anywhere?

What I have:

Raspberry Pi 4

Canon IP2770

Rasbian Os

I'm almost done with the setup, however my desktop can't see the pi server
