Are there any real dust filters that will fit 140mm fan space

I’ve always had issues with dust around my pcs. My fractal define r5 has a fine dust mesh but it’s obviously not a hepa or similarly specced system for fine dust.

 

just wondering if there’s any solutions out there that would fit into place here. Due to moving my fans behind my radiator I have a 280x140x25mm void in front of my radiator that that be perfect for a paper filter.

 

not my photo but the stock filters do a good job at dealing with coarse dust. I see build up but don’t allow anything like this

 

existing air purifiers look good but they all have wimpy  or fans and just don’t move that much air this ikea model looks promising but a single fan for all that area is meh

You need MUCH better furnace filters as well.

 

The issue isn't that air hitting your PC.  The issue that it's ALL OVER your house and into EVERYTHING.  You're breathing that day in, day out.

I’m not but as far as I can tell they’re paper filters

you should , probably go look at what furnace filters are and bare minimum buy one for your furnace

theres a lot of different kinds so while youre are there pick one out for the pc

I’ve got a pc not a furnace. I could buy many types of air filters need to know a better way of doing it instead of ‘trying’

The answer is no.

 

There are no premade fitting filters better than the Fractal one.   Looks like it is doing a fantastic job, how do you not notice how it's stopping TONS of crap?

 

Anything tighter may impact air flow anyway.

 

Yes, you have a PC, not a furnace.  So to your point, you' don't need to filter it as if it WAS a furnace.

 

The correct answer is to fix your underlying issue, or move the PC off the ground so it gets less nasty stuff sucked into it?

Most of filters are just folded paper filters. The finer the "mesh" the finer the particles they can filter out of the air...

Not that I know of. There may be generic filters with magnetic sides that you can order of varying sizes but I don't know any directly.
