Small damage to pci lock on gpu

Just got my new card and seeing this small amount of damage on the end of the card after take it back out to change the power cable 

 

and would this be fixable or not to worry

that part of the pcb is nothing but PCB material, there's nothing there to get damaged.

The part that is ''damaged'' does not have any power going through it so if you can fit it in your motherboard it should be alright

If this is the only damage the card has, then just forget about it. The purpose of that tab is to click in the holding bracket of the motherboard.

Did that damage happen by your hand or was the card like that when you purchased it ? This could be indicative that this card was used before.

Cheers folks and the card was new think I was a bit over eager to installed when it arrived but thanks for the quick responses
