6 GHz Overclock Club

Well after a failed attempt to create a 5 GHz overclock club (there was already one in existence) I have set out to make the first 6GHz Overclock club. 

 

6 GHz is a mark most people have NEVER hit before.

 

Post CPU-Z screenshot along with temps and make sure its stable for at least 4 hours.

Nope, it needs to be stable under load with Prime 95 or some other stress testing program:)

Ya that's kind of ridiculous, a 5GHz club would be pretty prestigious though. 

 

I think there's only one or two guys on the forum even doing LN2 benching.

I wish our poor AMD Phenom X3 survived, we managed to hit 5.6GHz and was just about stable then BANG!!!!!! it was over though there was no bang, just a blue screen.

 

To get it to run again we had to underclock it to about 2GHz or something like that, poor thing :(

 

We had been trying to get to 6GHz

Give me enough liquid nitrogen and I'll show you 6Hz stable. Impossible even on the most balling out custom loop.

You will be limited by the air temp, so the best scenario would be a Linus Tech Tips episode outside in Antarctica

i'll try 6.3 jigahertz on my Sempron 1.6 ghz, gonna be fun(not my current system lol)

Codename: HighFlyer, specs:  CPU: i5 2500k cooled by a H70ish(2 rad)   Mobo: MSI MPower Z77   GPUs: Gigabyte GTX 660 OC 1150 MHZ core, 3150 memory both   RAM: Corsair Vengeance 16G @1600mhz   SSD: ADATA Premier Pro sx900 / HDD Seagate Barracuda 1TB/Samsung 1TB   Power supply: Corsair RM650 80+ Gold   Case Corsair Carbide 500R   5.4 ghz achieved on the good old 2500k, may it rest in peace.
