Is there a monitor that also has an hdmi output?
BenQ used to have a monitor that could directly transmit the image to a capture card in another computer. (RL2460HT)

Unfortunately, it is no longer produced and as far as I know there is no other like it

A monitor with a display output would also be good if I could directly transmit the screen to a capture card on another computer.

The point is that I don't want to use any special software for this in the source computer and I don't want multiple monitors to appear in the Windows screen settings.

Therefore, daisy chain and similar methods are out of the question

Is there any solution?
thanks,
Tony

Generally the capture device is the first stop, then that has a loop-out to connect to the monitor.

if I connect the video card of the source computer to the capture card in the other computer, it will appear as the 2nd monitor in the windows screen settings on the source computer. This is my problem.

Press the Windows key + P, and select "Duplicate" instead of "Extend".

i know how to duplicate it. I want to use it duplicated, but windows also displays it in duplicate mode as the 2nd display.

I would like the windows in the source computer to not display the capture card in the other computer as a monitor at all.

For this reason, I want to transfer the screen directly from the monitor and not from the VGA.

What difference does it make unless you're trying to surreptitiously record someone's computer?

The only monitors you're going to find that do what you're asking are professional AV displays, and they're extremely expensive compared to consumer monitors and TVs.

An HDMI splitter that can copy the monitor's EDID would also work, then the PC wouldn't detect that there are two displays connected.

I don't want an external spyware to detect that my screen is shared.
Do you mean that I connect the edid emulator between the vga of the source computer and the capture card?

If you've got spyware on your computer, you have bigger problems.

An HDMI splitter between the PC and both your monitor and the capture card should only be detected as one display.

Is that for sure?  I have never tried edid emulator or splitter.

I'm still trying to use it in duplicate mode, but windows identifies the capture card as a second display.
if I use an edid emulator, won't windows identify it as a 2nd display as well?

Are you trying to steal company secrets or something?

Could you recommend a type of hdmi splitters / edit emulators that would be suitable for me?

By the way, I found some monitors that have an hdmi output, e.g. the Dell U2723QE. Do you think it would be possible to share the screen directly to a capture card? - without using other software
