Hey everyone, i just build a new pc recently and I have some question about how i should put fan in my case. I have a 280x from corsair. I have a i3 12100f and a gtx1080 FE.

I have a thermalright assassin to cool my cpu. i put two 140mm in the bottom, i kept the two corsair fan in front. The 1080 i have is a founders edition so very little air is getting above it from the 140mm fans.  Since the case does not have room for an exhaust fan, it creates kind of a hotspot in the back. i think hot air get trapped. My question is : should i put another intake in the back on the upper side of the case ( and the air forced into the case will push the hot air out) or would it be better to put it in "exhaust" mode ( so the hot air would be exhaust from the hot spot) ?

thanks for your answer !

Just now, lorenzino said:

do you think that running some 3d mark to compare the thermal changes would be a good idea ? or is it overkill since i don't have any thermal issue but the need to cool it off a bit more ?

That's all up to you if you really want to bother with it, there will be a few degrees difference at most anyway
