HELP. tried to install UV glass on Oneplus 13, went wrong and some spilled to the sides. Took a cloth, put alcohol and tried cleaning the thin border where the glass meets the frame to scrape off any glue, but when doing that, Little black colour is coming off. Why? Alcohol rubs off paint?

Tried rubbing backside with alcohol. no paint coming of.. just nscreen meeting frame place giving off paint..s my ocd is driving me crazy

if the paint isnt alcohol based then obviously alcohol won't pull it. the paint and most likely the glue is either mineral spirits or latex

Its most likely fine. The cheap glues here often have paint stripping chemicals used which can cause damage. However once remove it stops.

All I can find on these is random bs marketing, heaps of stuff about DONT use them, compaints about cant get them off and such

I mean the claims of being a forever screen protector are already dubious at best because well what do you do when it cracks 😛
