Hi all,

Today I replaced my motherboard in one of my systems as I am returning it as it is faulty. I bought a replacement board after starting the return process which arrived today, a Gigabyte B760M DS3H AX.

Rebuilt system with the Gigabyte this evening and powered on only to find its stuck doing a blinking light routine between DRAM and CPU LEDs with the EZ Debug LEDs and the RGB of one of the memory sticks is not working.

See video here https://photos.app.goo.gl/a9Xg1Fe7J6Zn53sv9

Have updated BIOS using Q Flash to latest version for CPU support as im using a 14th Gen i3 14100 CPU and CPU and Memory were working fine with the other board as the fault was not with anything related to CPU and memory it was an nvme related issue.

how did you confirm there is not issues with the ram or cpu other than testing them in the faulty board

I cant 100% confirm this as I dont have the means to, but the issue with the faulty board was nvme related not RAM/CPU related and I was able to post and install OS etc on the board.

from the sounds of it your previous board is only confirmed to have an issue when all of those components were part of the system , but without crosschecking you could only confirm that it manifested as an nvme problem without knowing if it was the nvme or another part causing the nvme to not function.

are you trying the current machine with a single stick of ram?

Ive just tried it with a single stick, removing the stick which the RGB did not light up on it. Still same result as in the video.

did you try each one separately? did you reset the bios?

Interesting .. I tried the RAM stick I removed(the one that the RGB did not light up on) in the slot where the RGB did light on the RAM and the light was on with that stick to. So no RGB when RAM is in one slot on the board but same stick has RGB in another.

Clearing CMOS did not help.

which i3 14100 are you using

Not sure what you mean by that, its just a i3 14100 Retail...

My case came with a speaker so I hooked that up to get a beep code and I got 5 beeps and according to this https://www.technewstoday.com/gigabyte-beep-codes/ that means a general processor error..

you may have not updated the bios correctly , try it again

I have tried Q Flash Plus with 2 different USB sticks, both times the process seemed to complete successfully(the Q Flash Plus LED blinked for about 5 mins)

then the board or cpu has an issue and now needs crosschecking , try another board or cpu and see what happens

I dont have another motherboard or CPU to test with. I do not have multiple boards/cpus laying around let alone anything DDR5/LGA1700.
