Hi, so this is a follow-up to a previous post of mine about needing to manually flash my BIOS chip - link

I now have a CH341A programmer and have followed a few guides on flashing my BIOS chip (25Q128JVSQ), including this one for trying on both Windows and Linux.

When I connect the programmer to my laptop in both OS's, it recognises it and tries to read the chip. Once I connect the chip clip (I bought this kit) though, the RUN LED illuminates and stays on alongside the power one. At this point, the only way I can get the OS to recognise the programmer again, is to disconnect the clip and programmer and then re-insert it.

I've tried every combination I can find online and two OS's, any help on this would be greatly appreciated as my computer has become quite the expensive paperweight!
