Hello folks! Looking for some help troubleshooting my PC which has recently stopped outputting a display signal when using the correct drivers.

This started about a week ago while running the PC for about 30 minutes after updating both Windows and the Game Ready Driver to latest. I built this PC July 2021 and have had no issues running it, and have made no hardware changes in the last two years.

The display flickered and then went out while browsing the web, maybe watching a YouTube video at the most demanding. During troubleshooting, I ended up corrupting my windows install by force powering the PC off to enter safe mode, so I've even tried a fresh install.

I'll list my specs and completed troubleshooting steps below as well as what progress I've made:

Specs:

  • 5600x
  • 3080 10G FE
  • 2x 16G 3600mt cl16 ballistix ram.
  • ASRock B550 ITX/AX
  • EVGA SuperNOVA 650GM (This is going to be my first hardware change if I can't find a solution)
  • 4k120hz HDMI TV + 1440p170hz DP monitor.

SW Versions:

  • Windows 11 Education 24H2 26100.2033
  • NVIDIA Game-Ready Driver 566.36, 565.90, 560.94
  • BIOS Version 2.10 (4/23/2021) -> 3.47 (8/21/2024)

Troubleshooting Done:

  • Turned it off and on again, unplugged the PC and let it sit, flipped PSU switch.
    • No effect.
  • Unplugged, cleaned, re-seated the GPU. Couldn't quite fully re-seat the RAM but wiggled them a lot. I
  • Fully updated Windows and GPU driver
    • No effect.
  • Rolled back to a restore point before the issue started
    • No effect.
  • Tried an older version of Windows as well as multiple older driver versions
    • No effect.
  • Fresh installed Windows
    • No effect.
  • Tried a basic 1080p 60hz monitor via HDMI
    • No effect.
  • Updated MOBO BIOS to latest - Recommended by NVIDIA support agent.
    • Caused MS generic driver to stop supporting any resolutions besides the default 800x600.
    • NVIDIA driver still exhibits symptoms.
