Sorry about the confusion there. I should've said it's a serial port. But from PS/2 to serial, would adding another converter from HDMI to serial work?

What you have pictured is VGA to HDMI (which also... doesnt really work without an active component somewhere)

Serial to HDMI wouldnt work in general unless its a non standard port, there isnt enough bandwidth

Thats svideo not ps/2. Thats for analog video conversion.

So yeah obviously not doesnt fit.

Also if someone made such an "adapter" it would obviously not work. A video signal doesnt carry an analog mouse/keyboard interface signal.

Now if you want to wire up and make something dumb like this yourself you can and can make it work actually. As log as you solder the hdmi pins to a ps/2 input port correctly you can do all of this bullshit as in the end you just created a very weird longer copper cable.

no that is a ps/2 port, the issue is the other side is a serial port, not a VGA port.

OP, if you want to hook up a PS/2 mouse to a modern PC, yea, use serial, be that... serial, or USB.

Can you explain what you are trying to do here? It will be easier to help you if we know the end goal.

No you can't just plug that in. Certain cameras use that for serial data transfer, for example, but that cable won't work with just anything
