Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: The PC will mostly used for gaming. Games such as, Paradox Games, CK3, Squad, Ready or Not, CS and Project Zomboid.

I also have a lenovo d223-20 as a monitor (1080p)

This is my attempt of a PC build. I'm not sure if I should go to a store and source parts there or buy all parts individually. I would really appreciate your help

They can with a better gpu such as the RX 7600 XT for example.

I think this build should do well, but I think you could do a bit better. This has an am4 cpu that is better than the intel one the user above mentioned, and a motherboard that is a little more balanced. I included storage but didn't select a gpu on pc partpicker. I would reccomend an RTX 3080 or RX 7600 xt. the 3080 seems to be hovering arround AU $600-$700 on Ebay, and the 7600xt seems to be about the same at retailers. The 3080 beats the 7600 xt, but if you would prefer not to buy used the AMD card still will play those games extremely well. This build should play everything you mentioned extremely well at 1080p, and there are plenty of room for upgrades later down the line.
