I replaced my cpu and motherboard from a gigabyte a320m-s2h to an msi b550 gaming plus and my cpu from ryzen 5 2600x to ryzen 7 5700x3d

I installed everything and when I press the powerbutton on my case the motherboard rgb and the case rgb light up but my keyboard and mouse don't and I get no output to my monitors.

I have no idea what is causing the issue and would appreciate any help.

You forgot to plug in the power cable of your gpu.

Also dust your cooler that thing is alredy too weak to cool a 5700x3d normally with the dust it's gonna make it run even slower

Is the BIOS updated to support the 5700X3D?

And please clean that cooler, thats way too much dust in there.

As suggested by Hinjima, the BIOS likely isn't up to date to support this CPU.

Also, you probably want to swap that cooler for a beefier one. That's a 65W cooler on a 100+ W chip. Thermalright's Assassin King 120 should suffice.

Is that an immediate issue or will the cooler I have do for the time it takes to get a new one?

How can I update the bios if i can't boot into bios?

Normally you'd have to reinstall the 2600X, but your board supports USB flashing without needing the CPU.

It should be fine for now.

The 2600x is actually not supported on that B550 motherboard.  Ryzen 3000 and upwards.

But as you write.  BIOS Flashback is the way to go.

Thats because BIOS has a memory limit so you can't have everything stored in the update

So if you had a B350 that supported Ryzen 1000, once you update to support Ryzen 5000 you will actually lose Ryzen 1000 support! There is not enough space for all the data for all CPU's to be stored.

I flashed the BIOS with the bios version 7C56v1F using the bios button and I'm still not getting any output. Any Ideas?

It's just a CPU list, though, something that barely fills up a fraction of a 32MB bios chip. The compressed 32MB image is at around 18MB, so there's clearly plenty of space left.

It's often argued that it was a marketing move to get people to ditch their Zen 1/+ CPUs, I find this more plausible.

Do you happen to be mixing two different RAM kits? I see a pair with rounded corners and another without. (Also one pair looks dustier)

Also, since the one closest to the camera is DDR4 3200, I assume you bought new RAM for the new CPU?

I am using 2x 16gb and 2x 8gb I've used both sets before so they are working. I have them in seperate channels too, 1 16gb and 1 8gb in each channel

You should try each kit individually instead.

Just because this config worked with a another CPU does not mean it'll necessarily work with another.
