Thinking about the crucial p3 plus 2tb for my laptop is it a good choice?

Yes as long as you aren't constantly transferring huge files (several gigabytes each) regularly. Mine hits a cache wall and dies until I restart the machine. I

Yes, the Crucial P3 Plus is a great NVME SSD! It doesn't have any DRAM cache but I can tell you from experience that you can't tell a NVME SSD with DRAM to a drive without DRAM unless you look at the read and write speeds. Plus, Crucial drives seem to be quite reliable. Linus uses them in his editing PCs so they must be good! 😉

This is about as false as it gets. He can get away with it because LTT stores raw footage on servers and their files get loaded into memory instead of saving to their drives. These drives would be a TERRIBLE idea for constant 4k/8k/12k content that LTT edits.

This is also how I get away with using WD Blue drives in my servers totaling 120 TB of storage. I just need the main drive to load the OS. My spinning drives do the rest.

If you can get SN580 in similar price, go for WD instead.

P3 and P3 plus are weak Dramless QLC SSD, some have reported stutters in games.

the reputation is good, they are just slow and low in TBW.
