I recently bought a monitor LTT recommended on sale. I just got it and realized it has a faint grey grid pattern across the whole screen. I looked it up and this seems to be just something many OLEDs have. Why haven't LTT mentioned this? I've watched dozens of OLED videos from them and they've never mentioned this very important factor. It's something I can live with, but I should've been told about this considering they talk about burn-in on every video. It's not even about my situation. LTT are a major source of tech knowledge and I had this big blind spot because this was never brought up. I can't trust Linus Tech Tips to give me tips about tech! Is the world even round!?!

I'm currently using an OLED TV (LG C4) and I don't see this. I mean I see the pixels layout if i get close, but I don't see any lines from afar. I've also used an OLED monitor before and never noticed this. Is it possible you got some refurbished/used monitor and got scammed?  Maybe you're using some weird subtype of OLED, I've only ever seen QD-OLED and WOLEDs, and I've never seen this issue.

This is abnormal, I think. There's a reason why YouTubers, LTT channel included, do not mention this in their videos. You should provide the exact model you have and where you got it from in your post. People might have a better idea of how to help you.

And if people confirm that they don't have it with their OLED monitors, it is time for you to contact support from the retailer you got it from.

I've got an OLED monitor, and I don't have that kind of problem with mine. You should contact support for warranty or return policy.

How and why is it LTT's responsibility to tell you everything about a purchase? They are under no obligation to tell you anything. If anything, it's on the manufacturer and you. Not a third party youtuber.

They reviewed it. If they badly review and thus make people buy a product without mentioning obvious things they see or covering it up thats on them fully.

Was there any proof that they noticed it or were covering it up? I didn't see any. If there was no malice or if they didn't notice something, that is not on them.

As Linus mentioned last Friday "It's my job to know." He wasn't referring to OLEDs but the principle is the same. They have multiple people who's job is monitors specifically.

I'll do that. I saw a post claiming support said this was normal but I'll check myself.

Unless you are still a child, it is also your job to have independent and critical thought. Don't trust a single source for information, know that people make mistakes, and understand that if someone doesn't tell you something it could not be from a place of malice.

Do you watch any other monitor reviews? Have any others mentioned the grid pattern? Are you attacking Monitors Unboxed the same way that you accuse LTT?

I know I sound like an old man yelling from my porch, but to think this was LTT's fault is ridiculous.
