I built my new pc today and some people were telling me to cap the ram in bios because it may cause issues, Is this true? Trident Z5 6400mhz, CL32

Check the memory compatibility on the processor and motherboard's manual keep your RAM config at or below that limit just to be safe.

 

If you cross the limit of processor/mobo compatibility, it can be possible that either the PC won't boot or it will be quite unstable with lots of crashes.

On the intel website it says: Up to DDR5 5600 MT/s. if this is mhz the bios only 5600 cl36 and 38, would I have to cap it at that?

What you said is exactly what is happening but if I cap the ram in bios it just does not boot
