Cpu temps are WAY too high despite good cooling

Hi everyone, I’m new to PC building and could really use some advice. My CPU (AMD Ryzen 9 7900X) is running hot — around 90°C under heavy load and about 50°C when idling. I’ve done my best to ensure good airflow in my case (6 intake fans and 4 exhaust fans) and have mounted my AIO cooler correctly. I’ve also checked the thermal paste application, and it looks fine (yes, I did remove the plastic sticker from the AIO). Despite all this, the problem is still my cpu running hot. Any advice?

Hey, welcome to the forum.
Your CPU is running exactly how its suppsosed to.  Ryzen 7000 CPU's run hot by design.

I helped someone with this exact 'problem' a few days back.

Please have a look through this, I am not going to write everything again

Check out the two videos I linked in this thread to learn more about how Ryzen 7000 temperature works.

Ryzen7000 and onwards is known to try boosting to heighetst frequency below 95C. A behavior also found on Intel's recent CPUs

The only way to stop that is using CEO mode (aka telling it to limit power to something like 60/90W instead going 120 for example) or undervolting or set your own PBO targets.
