Question about Corsair H115i RGB AIO fans and radiator

Go to solution Solved by OddOod,

I have definitely done this, but not in a 4000D. This is a Phanteks p500 with the front rad connected by fans behind the front filter. I've also mounted fans that way in a p400. If they will fit behind the front mesh on the "outside" of the case, there is no reason not to do it, though you should absolutely double check that there is somewhere to route the fan cables into the case (if there ain't a hole, make a hole) so they can get power.
I even tested it and with a less deep radiator I could have mounted the rad outside and the fans inside, but sadly I got a thicc boi rad and was crunched for time

I have Corsair 4000D RGB AIRFLOW ATX Mid Tower Case

Asus ROG STRIX Z790-E GAMING WIFI II

Asus ROG STRIX GAMING OC GeForce RTX 4080 SUPER

I can't fit the AIO on top of the case cuz the motherboard/RAM block it

I can fit it on front of the case....but GPU not fit in the case cuz of the fans

now to the question(I am completely noob in this) :

the 2 fans attached to the radiator must be attached to it?or for example I can place them on top and the radiator on front?

or maybe attach the fans from other side of the radiator(radiator will be inside the case and the fans outside front)

but will it affect the cooling process?

now this is what I call water cooling system, not AIO,I am too new in PC building to risk doing this

anyway thank you for the reply but problem solved by god 🙂
while removing the tempered glass of Corsair 4000D to try switching between rad and fans the glass drop on my table, just the tip of it not all of it,and it got exploded to pieces,so I ordered Corsair 5000D which is much bigger so I don't need to worry about room inside

DO NOT do this. It was a pain at every step, leaked like a sieve, and expensive as all get out. Swapped it to 19mm zero maintenance tubing to save my sanity.
Honestly, I recommend against watercooling pretty much ever. There are *great* tower coolers and the performance gain for gaming is marginal. Maybe if you were doing a renderbox or something it would make sense

Also, I notice you're going 14th gen intel for your build. That's a pretty risky idea. Best of luck

lolololol, ooof my friend. Sorry about the shattered glass.
