New pc cant open bios or boot to windows usb.

I recently built a new pc with these specs:

R5 5600x

ASUS TUF B550 Wifi plus II

16gb 3200mhz corsair vengeance LPX

RX 6750XT

500gb crucial p2 ssd

650 EVGA 80+gold

When I went to boot the pc for the first time the ez debug leds flashed through rotation as normal but was stuck on the yellow/green light (boot light). It pops up with the american megatrends error "Please enter setup to recover bios setting. Press F1 to run setup." I have tried all the bios keys, booted with 1 ram stick, swapped usb ports (only keyboard plugged in), reseated my ssd, tried booting to windows usb, but nothing has worked. Some help please?

Hi buddy,

I just looked at the specs page for that Mobo and it does appear to have a BIOS flash-back button.

Its usually as simple as loading the most recent BIOS for the board onto a USB stick, plugging it into the port labelled 'flash-back' and turning on the PC with that button being pushed but best check the manual just to make sure you do it correctly.

It sounds as if your BIOS is maybe a bit borked but its great to have the flash-back facility that makes is possible to load a new BIOS even when a CPU / Ram isn't installed or the existing BIOS has gone a bit skew-wiff!

When the PC boots to the American Megatrends, is there anything else the text mentions?

When the pc boots to the American Megatrends it repeats my systems specs correctly and sometimes will not detect my keyboard. In the white text it states "Please enter setup to recover bios settings, When RAID configuration was built, ensure to set sata configuration to RAID mode, Press F1 to run setup." Still have yet to get past this screen but will be going and using bios flashback to update in a few hours.

if the keyboard isn't working when pressing F1, then I suppose you could try BIOS update, remember during update you shouldn't turn off PC and be sure there isn't going to be any power outage,

does your keyboard have Fn keys? if there's Fn function on F1 key could try Fn+F1 but it's unusual for first 4 to have function I guess,

also I suppose you did try different USB headers for the keyboard?

the keyboard is a brand new 65% from womier, the rgb turns on and sometimes it detects it on the american megatrends screen. I believe the keys arent even being detected as caps lock does not light up when pressed. We have been using fn+1 as well as various other combinations. We have also used different usb ports including usb 3.0 and 2.0.

did you try all the USB ports in the motherboard?

Installing Wifi drivers on motherboard, when not working,

usually requires going to motherboard's official website and grabbing install from there, so from here:

https://www.asus.com/motherboards-components/motherboards/tuf-gaming/tuf-gaming-b550-plus-wifi-ii/helpdesk_download?model2Name=TUF-GAMING-B550-PLUS-WIFI-II

On the support page, you find this:

You can also download other drivers from that site, utilities aren't that great though I wouldn't recommend, they're like programs but for most people these programs do nothing and just saturate the PC for no reason.

Also if you haven't already, Chipset drivers, though instead of MB's website, you can just download AMD Adrenalin software, since you have both GPU and CPU AMD, it checks for few drivers and lets you install them, including Chipset.

But even if you use Adrenalin, for Wifi/Wireless drivers and Bluetooth maybe it's still better getting those from the Motherboard's website.
